Fortunately they’re not trying to please the Cub Scouts, they are trying to please God.
You ask churches and synagogues all over the US to sponsor clubs and let them decide the rules that fit their morality on who is allowed in their church sponsored club. This is how they protected those boys and countered the fed imposed danger.
Good for this church, someone wanted to force a change that put everyone in danger.
Umm, you are aware that the federal government did NOT force the BSA to allow gays into the organization ... right?
This was done by the BSA board.

This is actually the exactly wrong thing to do.
Scouts at the local level aren’t buying into the bs the BSA board is pushing.
This ‘church’ is punishing young boys and young men for sins committed by men far up the chain and far away from them.
The church graciously allowed them to meet, but this church or any other are NOT obligated to bow to politically correct coercion...when it goes against their beliefs.

The liberals want to force every group to accept homosexuals. Whether they use the tax deduction for churches as a battering ram or not, it’s coming.
My Son is an Eagle Scout - I was a troop leader. Our church sponsored troop had very specific rules as to who could be a troop leader. Since the BSA rule change, the local troop changed their rules. So Yes, the local troops ares following the National BSA rules.
At least one church based troop and pack here has been dissolved and reanimated as a Trail Life organization and everybody concerned is a lot happier with that. Knights of Columbus here was very involved with the boy scouts and we began having second thoughts when BSA decided to allow openly queer troop leaders. At first those immediately involved said, well, it won’t happen here-we will maintain integrity locally but the vibes coming out of the national org suggested strongly that some things were going to be “required” and then Trail Life literature showed up in the mailbx both on line and at the PO. The decision to ditch BSA had been made and we were all letting the parents know when this boys-might-be-girls-might-be-boys thing came along.
Trail Life. It is easy to transfer over and get out from under BSA. By remaining BSA you are supporting all this that is essentially Satanism. You have to send dues to the national organization.

At the prepubescent age, homosexuality is legally undefined.
The issue isn’t about homosexuality or any other other “freak of nature” (and that’s not to be insensitive -— seriously.) The “force” you eluded to is about destroying the civilian fabric that has sustained the Constitutional America since the Revolutionary War.
The whole homosexual, transgender and all other “sexual” issues for the left is simply to destroy the family unit and call it something else it was never intended to be.
Just like they build their fantasy worlds in every thing they touch.
Humans are a sexually dimorphism species and most parents wish to have their kids avoid contact with the mentally deranged. People who don’t even know what sex they are at that age have numerous other mental issues and pose a serious safety hazard to other kids. The church is completely within their rights to not sanction the new wave of sex offenders.
The judiciary, part of state and federal government, has sided with this new wave of sex offenders in numerous cases. The head of the BSA is a former top federal government offficial who has also sided with the pervert alliance. Kids don’t need forced exposure to this level of filth.
