My husband walked across the yard and back last week and found 8 ticks on his clothing, skin and in his hair. We now have tick and flea collars on our 3 dogs.

We’re in Massachusetts.

I try, the young ones are hard to catch though.

Get your yard treated. You have an infestation.

A friend of ours in Southern NH has Lyme. VERY nasty.

I haven’t had one in years and I’m in the woods all the time. Must be my blood type.

We sprayed down all 14 or our dogs just yesterday. I’ve only seen one tick so far this spring on one dog, so that’s a good thing!

We’re in SW Wisconsin.

It’s not time yet. wait for a little more consistent war temps and then beware.

The Lone star tick carries a bacteria that can result in allergy to red meat. - - -

I got it once on Fire Island, where it is a real problem. A big red rash, and then when the white spot appeared in the center I knew what it was. Went to a Fire Island doctor and he treated me without even a blood test. It was so rampant out there he had seen it many times and had no doubts.

I don’t know whether it still is a big problem. The deer were totally fearless and walked right up to your deck.

Thanks for the ping. There is a campground near me that is usally infested with ticks in the summer. I’ll have to keep this in mind.

I get the Sawyer on sale. Enough to do 2-3 pants and shirts for about $12.
