I get this error when I try to donate to FreeRepublic.

I used a different browser (Pale Moon) and paid by mail-in check.

It’s secure. We use the industry standard sha-1 encryption method. Google has decided it’s no longer good enough and has “deprecated” it, flagging all sha-1 certificates as “not secure” even if paid-up, and still valid and in force. Our secure server continues to securely encrypt our donation transactions as always.

But to satisfy google (and firefox, et al) we have paid the ransom and purchased sha-256 security certificates. John will upgrade as soon as he gets everything else caught up.

If you don't see a https, and just a regular http, in the URL address, you aren't secure.

Some items are still not functioning correctly. I have just been able to get logged in
after emailing JR for some help. Not sure about the condition of the donation site as of yet.

Hi CopperTop. I am doing fine. Not doing much hunting lately. I have been studying Linux and having a good time. Got a number of computers running Linux and have given up on Windows. I still have the web site and update the ham radio page each Sunday night after the check ins to the 2m Packet Net. I still live in California, but the state has left me.
