You can go on you tube and see dozens of videos of Chinese Zoos where the tigers are fed "live" animals. I guess their idea of keeping it real.
Hard to watch but I have seen them using dump trucks to drop off cattle, and a van to throw out a lamb.

It’s either this zoo or a similar one near Beijing, where big signs tell you to STAY IN YOUR CAR as you are driving through the lions, tigers and bears, oh my, that a tourist got out and was eaten by the tigers a year or so ago.
