Civil wars can be bloody, but they need true believers on both sides, in significant numbers.
The true deep radicals who are stirring the pot are not significant in number. Their only hope is to incide and provoke things like what happened last weekend and exploit it to radicalize more to join their cause. They will never get the kind of numbers they need, and it’s more important for everyday people not to get provoked, because that only plays into their hands.

I have a suggestion. Can’t a group of young, conservative folks get together and pull down a statue of Martin Luther King somewhere? Or, find another similar type statue and pull it down. I sincerely think such should be done so everyone realizes why this activity must be stopped. Suffer the consequences and do it!

The civil war already started. It started when FDR was elected and he usurped the Constitution to impose socialism on a free country.
No one on the right had fought back until Donald Trump came along and now...just like in 1775...a small fringe is fighting back. As the left retaliates against more and more people who don’t hew to their dogma then then numbers fighting back against them will increase.
Give it a couple years (or maybe next month) and it’ll be soccer moms firing belt fed weapons at black-clad antifa-ggots.

I haven’t been willing to get involved, but pulling down Confederate statues for no reason is over the line. When they start that, they’re going to go to something worse later. If we can get a group together and take down a statue of importance to them, the government will HAVE to stop all of this. They’ll have no choice.
Things like Charlottesville are political campaigns - pre-arranged with the media narrative and key political objectives prepared in advance. These are typical leftist tactics, used throughout history. I believe Mao and his various political campaigns to change Chinese society and people’s habits and thinking are the most extreme examples.
In the USA, Obama raised the game with use of #BLM and Ferguson.
I see people on these threads who think the goal is some kind of open war which ‘they will lose.” It is not. Although these are coming from the highest levels of our government/business of the Left, these are guerrilla political hit-and-run campaigns, to keep the population on edge and anxious, to create guilt and pliancy in the population. they simultaneously create a phantom “threat” and simultaneously push for a real “solution.”
The left is now America’s ISIS -— destroying all the antiquities they can and savaging everyone who won’t convert to their far left principles. They have been indoctrinated in schools their whole life, and the media propagandists continue to affirm their anti-Constitutional values. They are locusts living off the working masses, and always demanding more “rights” and entitlements. They have perverted the language and our cultural sensibilities. Eventually, all organisms overwhelmed by parasites will die -— and America is not immune to natural law.
They are fools. They believe destruction of monuments will somehow erase the strawman they’re fighting against from history.
Meanwhile, in reality, we’ll still be here, just madder than before.

Few seem to have the capacity to perceive unintended consequences due to their actions/inactions. They live in a NOW bubble. Sometimes, it takes years for their bubble to burst.
All pulling down a MLK or similar statue would only enrage the Left who would be howling “racism”, ad infinitum, and that would feed into their agenda.
The best thing that can be done is for law enforcement to start arresting those who cross state lines to incite violence. That would cut down on the number of out-of-state ‘paid’ protesters. Then, go after those who are paying the protesters.
