Ricardo Garcia bought a “Make America Great Again” hat months ago when Donald Trump announced he was running for president. He never thought wearing it could get him into trouble and land someone else in jail.
It happened while Garcia was shopping at Sam’s Club in Brandon.
“(He said) Ah, you go for Trump, I don’t like it. I said, well you can go for Hillary and I don’t like that, but that’s the way it is,” says Garcia.
He says 37-year-old Patrick Mickens was upset about Garcia’s “Make America Great Again” hat, supporting Trump. Mickens reportedly tried to pick a fight. Garcia says he tried to just walk away.
“I grabbed my grocery cart, and I turned around and my back was to him and slowly, suddenly he was like pow! and hit me right here,” said Garcia as he pointed to a bruised eye.
A veteran, Garcia served in the Army for more than 20 years. He says he put his life in danger more than once. He says being treated this way hurts.
It’s been an ugly election season that’s created a massive divide in the country. While seeing her dad treated this way, “for a hat” upsets Dezired Garcia, she says her family is using this moment to send a message.
“Why is it you can’t speak professionally about politics? Why can’t you act like a gentleman or a lady when talking about politics? Why do you have to counter everything with violence and disrespect?”
While his attacker is charged with felony battery on a victim over 65, Ricardo hopes he learns from this experience.
Mickens has been released on bond.
Once again the left resorts to violence

That’s going to happen a lot now. The media stirred up emotions over the latest thing, and it’s going to inspire subhumans to take their anger out on normal people.
The attacker had BETTER do time for this. No probation or “deferred adjudication.”
Attacking the elderly is inexcusable.
That guy would be eating his meals thru a straw at the local hospital had that been me. Defend yourselves people. This will continue as long they can get away with it.
People like Mickens see lawless anarchists attacking people and destroying property on campuses and in commercial areas with complete impunity, and think that they can do the same unscathed.
This is the fault of law enforcement in leftist enclaves refusing to enforce the laws.
Democrats are extreme Fascists and resort to violence to “offend” others. And the MSM promotes this kind of behavior.
Can’t wait until 2018 and 2020. The Dems will be represented by violent morons.
Liberal Trump Derangement Syndrome
The left hates America so much they also hate anyone who doesn’t. Look for more attacks since Trump supporter are now assumed to all be Nazis.
The events in Charlottesville and the presidents’s comments on it revealed an attempt to limit criticism of leftists for causing violence. Only white supremecists are to be blamed for promoting violence, despite the fact that, overall, much more violence is provoked and perpetrated by the left.
The victim is old enough that the penalty will be tougher. Hopefully jail time!

The left and their allies find it perfectly excusable to attack anyone they consider to be Nazis and white supremacists whether they are elderly or not.

Obviously the over 65 year old provoked the argument
and then turned away from the confrontation thus enflaming the peaceful Clinton supporter.
After all, we all know how violence is provoked by the "pro Trump" that the media reports on the cable news.(do I need a /sarc?)
Many of our “friends” on the left have consciously or unconsciously started to realize how well terroristic violence and threats have worked for the Jihadis and are now beginning to adopt their methods. Whenever you read a statement attributed to an Antifa person, just insert the “infidel” whenever they use the words “nazi” or “facist” and it becomes startlingly clear how the similar their mindsets are. As the left begins to lose more and more power, and especially leading up to and after the ‘18 elections, this stuff is going to ramp up quite a lot unless law enforcement starts to prosecute this stuff very severely.
