Several social media companies in the West have been criticised for a perceived lack of transparency in alleged talks with the Iranian authorities on censoring content to the approval of the country’s strict religious authorities.

Instagram, currently available in the country – as well as Twitter and YouTube, which are blocked but widely visited by Iranians using proxy servers – have all been reported by local media in recent weeks as as co-operating with the authorities to aid them in blocking or censoring “immoral” content.

Diamond and Silk are an example of YouTube censorship, and I think this is why: 2 American women, speaking their mind, including telling mohammedan invaders to get with the program or leave.

To subscribers of certain youtube channels, the changes had been mostly facing the youtuber. From what I understand this has included: reducing and later demonetize advertising revenue. Making higher value advertisers inaccessible, and changing search engine results to exclude certain channels - making their channel and/or videos invisible. Some youtubers have been suspended or their channel taken down.

Some of the firearm channels I subscribe to have posted videos about this. Some have begun to ask for funding through subscribers, some are beginning to sell items to help fund their channel.

It’s youtube’s platform and they can choose to do what they want with it. But their foolishness is another persons opportunity.
