Melania isn't responsible for "keeping" the White House vegetable garden. The White House has a large permanent household staff that maintains the building and grounds. There is a representative plant, tree or garden from every administration since Andrew Jackson, each with a label or plaque. The White House gives garden tours twice a year and hands out booklets with all the presidential families' plantings labled. Sheesh.
