I’m not an Indians fan or an AL fan. But this run is impressive as hell.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if they met the Braves in October! The world's “progressives” would go absolutely bat bleep!

That’s a bigger miracle than Trump winning.

They did meet in October in 1995. Braves came out on top in game 6.

It was a different time then though.

And to slip into stat head mode for a second, this is a “real” streak as opposed to a fluke that’s gone on for a while.

The Indians have been pitching lights out and that’s how you win - especially in the post season. They’ve given up the fewest runs against in all of MLB and only the Dodgers are close (who also have 90+ wins already) The next closest teams are 80 or 90 runs behind.

Impressive indeed and scary for the Astros who are suddenly very human looking.

You wonder if they might actually win the World Series, even though the Dodgers have been on top of the MLB standings for most of this season. With the Cubs winning last year, the Indians now have the longest World Series championship drought, dating back to 1948.

He’s referring to how liberals hate American Indian nicknames of sports teams. So Indians vs braves would get them riled because those nicknames offend their sensibilities.

Because it’d be the two teams with Indian names.

True, but they just lost 10 or 11 games in a row. When it comes to the post season, you can throw out all the records ... the hottest team wins it all.
