In the script, it's the moment when the movie's real-life protagonist Barry Seal, played by Tom Cruise, hatches an idea to enlist Clinton, who was then governor of Arkansas, in the CIA-backed scheme. ... The Doug Liman-helmed film's original title, Mena, also was changed to American Made in an effort to downplay the Arkansas connections. I think the difference is the Clintons’ shame is not like a normal person’s shame. But it’s still there. Otherwise they wouldn’t try to hide their sins.

Psychopaths have no conscience. Any shame they happen to garner is immediately transferred to others. Nothing is ever their fault.

Does it include the phone call from Barry Seal to HW Bush days before he died where he threatened to blow the lid on everything if he didn’t get the IRS off his back? Or that Bush’s name and personal phone number was in his black book that was found in the car he was shot in?
Or that his prized plane was used by the Governor of Texas, George W Bush, after Seal died?
This not a conspiracy theory. Even the phrase ‘conspiracy theory’ was created by the CIA in 1967 to attack people who didn’t believe the Warren Report.

The point here is that shame in the broadest category is more than just the feeling a person has inside. It has to do with whether something can be made public, or whether by its very nature it must remain hidden. The Clintons don’t have a conscience, that is true. But neither do they have the sort of ultimate power they think they have.
If they did, they wouldn’t have to hide their sins.
They probably nixed the lapdance scene to replace it with a “hidden cigar” scene. Ya think? Nah...
Analogous to this and for the same reason, progressivism can never be sold at face value. It has to be packaged as something other than what it really is, with its overwhelming ugly parts entirely hidden from view.
With special care taken to hide the ugliness from progressives themselves.
