Ed Sullivan Shows have been reedited, produced and copyright by SOFA Entertainment. This new format was seen this month on local air waves. The new show airing featured the British Invasion of the 60s.

A local station now plays George and Gracie over the air waves. We sometimes watch. Adventures of Ozzie and Harriett are also played in this way. BUZZER network, old game shows is on a station here every day. Password, Family Feud, What’s My Line, To Tell the Truth.

We still have episodes of “THE REBEL” available. The radical left has not taken them down.

Watched as a child, at that time it was just another tv show, but certainly one remembered as scaring the CR@P out of me. Then with the McCarthy hearings, cold war, Cuba crisis- it all came together and left a large footprint in the memory banks.

Philbrick was an American pacifist who joined the communist party that opposed WWII, until Barbarosa. When the party changed its opposition he realized they were Stalinistas and Went to work for the FBI.

I don’t think he was a naif turned off by Barbarossa. He had joined the party to protest the war, but contacted the FBI when he began to suspect their true agenda. He had been an FBI informant for nearly two years before Germany invaded Russia.

I probably watched 90% of the episodes when they first aired.

TV dramas were very well done back then and dealt more with reality than the fantasy junk being put out in the present.
