Alex Rodriguez: I’m ‘the Jackass’ Who Gave up Millions for PEDs
New York Post ^ | October 13, 2017 | Hannah Withiam

Alex Rodriguez isn’t done apologizing for his use of steroids during an impressive 23-year MLB career.

Jumping from the Fox Sports booth, where he works as a baseball analyst, to the stage for a one-on-one interview with Joe Buck, Rodriguez explained what was going through his mind when MLB suspended him for the 2013-14 season for his role in the Biogenesis scandal. Playing for the Yankees at the time under the most lucrative contract in baseball, Rodriguez was accused of receiving HGH from Anthony Bosch’s Biogenesis of America, the infamous anti-aging clinic in Florida.

“Yeah, I mean there’s so many frustrating things when you look back at that,” Rodriguez tells Buck in an excerpt from the show “Undeniable,” which will air Oct. 18.

Gave up millions? He was the most overpaid athlete in history. Vikings QB Sam Bradford a close second.

Over $300 million in lifetime earnings, enabled no doubt by those drugs. That’s a great deal.

Now that he’s made millions, he found a concience. By his appearance, he looks like a user.

Anything A-Roid states in that interview is scripted and not to be believed.

“Now that he’s made millions, he found a conscience.”

And Jennifer Lopez.

I never liked him, though. Thought he was an arrogant POS. Seem to recall he caused other players’ injuries.

I remember seeing him in the last professional baseball game I ever attended. It was the day that Alex Rodriguez came back to Seattle as a Texas Ranger. There were several signs around Safeco Field that day, some of which I could not repeat in mixed company. I noticed there were several people that were wearing t-shirts that had his old Mariners number, but instead of saying ‘A-Rod’ the shirts said ‘A-Hole’. When Alex made his first at-bat, I swear to you I have never heard a man booed so hard in my life. As I recall, he struck out all three times he was at bat that day, and the Mariners won.
When I found out he was using ‘roids, it didn’t surprise me at all.

How many more World Series would the Yankees have won if they had signed Aaron Boone after 2003 instead of going after A-Roid and getting saddled with THAT CONTRACT? We will never know, but I would wager it would have been more than 1....

I remember the Mariners fans that had fishing poles dangling dollar bills at Alex.

Career to date: $441,285,104
2001 was his best year.
Winner at baseball, loser at life.

Don’t forget Bonds and McGwier, who also took HGH to boost their stats, which should be nothing more than footnotes about use of illegal drugs in the records.

Sammy Sosa hit 545 home runs. I would bet he also took HGH. It’s funny, I have Mark McGuire’s and Jose Canseco’s rookie cards. They are twigs compared to the later photos of them.

A bunch of those guys had to increase their hat size during their careers. That’s ‘roids, not HGH.
