Glad that you watched it;) I especially loved that he never raised his race as a hindrance to his life. Surrounded by caring, friendly neighbors and church fellowship.

Taking care and giving joy. We are all so blessed.

This was a great video. Thanks for posting. This man (Richard Overton)is amazing in his simple, straightforward approach to life. I would love to see a full-length documentary on this man and his life. He must have some incredible stories to tell.

Thank you for your service Mr. Overton.

My 91 year-old mother, when she passed, had the same telephone number her entire life.

I smoke cigars and my grandma lived to be 106. (Both parents are alive and well at 90+)

I always tell people I plan to outlive all my doctors and all the folks who told me to stop smoking. :-)

Isnt there some whisky in there too? If this indeed the secret to longevity I’m in for a long rude.

My grandfather enjoyed a scotch. Not a bottle a night, just a drink in the evening.

In his mid-70's, his doctor told him that he needed to give it up, because it was "bad for him". Grandpa's response? He immediately fired the doc. "What's it going to do, stunt my growth?", was what he told me, approximately.

He lived for almost another 20 years, enjoying his scotch most every evening.

There's some good sense it, a drink or two is good for your circulation. A bottle or two? Not so much, but a little bit can be good for you.

I believe he stands for the National Anthem.

I believe he has experienced a whole lot more prejudice than anyone in the NFL.

A little whisky for medicinal purposes, of course!
