An all time favorite of mine, both the song and the group.

I have been following The Moody Blues since they formed their band in 1966, the year I graduated from high school.

I have all their albums and know the lyrics from most of their songs by heart. I still listen to their greatest hits CD in my truck all of the time.

When "Nights In White Satin" was released on the "Days Of Future Past" album in the late 60's, the album shot to the top of the charts and the band were the number one rock and roll in the world for next ten years afterwards.

The Moody Blues is one of the few rock and roll bands where you can understand the words to their song lyrics.

I had gone 50 years of being a fan without ever seeing them live in concert....until last year.

I went to my 50th high school reunion in Tempe, Arizona last fall and discovered by happenstance that The Moody Blues would be playing their 50th Anniversary tour in a stop in Las Vegas during the time I was in Arizona.

So I drove to Las Vegas from Tempe to see them in concert. Three of the original band members are still playing. They were fantastic. Better than I expected since they were over 70 years of age.

I don't know if I have a favorite song because I love them all. The Voice and I'm Just A Singer In A Rock and Roll Band are two favorites.

The Moody Blues, my all-time favorite rock and roll band ever. Thanks for posting this.

Several great albums...can't recall the titles.”Legend of a Mind”...”Gypsy”....”Watching And Waiting”...”Tuesday Afternoon”...just several of the great songs they did.

It's a disgrace that they're not in the Hall of Fame.

Pretty song lyrics for the angst-ridden teen, LOL!

My faves, not in any particular order, and my favorite poem by author:

Christina Rosetti (Birthday)
Edna St. Vincent Millay (The Spring and the Fall)
Robert Frost (Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening)
Langston Hughes (Dreams)
Sylvia Plath (Lady Lazarus)
Nikki Giovanni (For Saundra)
Anne Sexton (Live or Die)
Sara Teasdale (I Am Not Yours & Young Love)
Elizabeth Barret Browning (ALL of her Sonnets; Jewels!)

I’m kind of boring. I like the classics and the standards that have stood the test of time, as have The Moody Blues. ;)
