Personally, I think if this arrangement was in a home on or near the shore.. it would be perfect. A giant shell and driftwood appearing wood. Looks like the cover of a magazine to me...I believe you are correct on all points.

Glad you wrote that... I thought that before the food was brought out.. the centerpiece was removed (and possibly replaced by candles or nothing). That’s how we always did it and a centerpiece was considered “jewelry” for the table prior to the food becoming the focus of the eye. :)

That turkey and dressing sandwich would not be out of place with the centerpiece in question. The local variant from E/NE Iowa... not so much.
Our trad turkey and dressing slapped on a white bread hamburger bun looks more at home on a table having a paper turkey centerpiece surrounded by plastic cups from Walmart.

Agreed. I'm not an Ivanka-hater nor #NeverTrumper. 100% Deplorable over here in the House of DoodleBob.
But our side calls balls and strikes. If Mrs. Obama tweeted this hodgepodge of Halloween and fall yard work remnants dumped in a clamshell, the left would call it "REVOLUTIONARY!!"
It's really bad. But truthfully, the centerpiece is just something to hold space for the roasted corn, peppers and onions.

Love Ivanka, but not a fan of this decoration - for a traditional Thanksgiving.
Possible exception: A seaside location, focused on the Ocean (Clams, driftwood, nets).
