Half the packages amazon ships me via ontrac never make it or are days late.

A few months ago i found a driver (black if we should say) evidently scoping out our back porch where some bicycles were, ye the truck was on the sidewalk just a few steps (15’ feet?) from our front door, which has a doorbell and is usually unlocked, and he did not ring it.
I met him on the long sidewalk coming back from the backyard, and he seemed startled and gave me the package. I did not call however, but these contracted Amazon delivery men sometimes seem sketchy.
Of course the Post Office can just load things in the truck and make it as delivered, or leave things on the porch and there is no real recourse if it is stolen.
But thank God we can even but things, and which are rarely a problem delivery-wise.
