In Nevada, the prosecutors usually charge the crime of open murder. Open murder includes the crime of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and the lesser-included crimes of voluntary and involuntary manslaughter.

The term open murder (as far as I can find out at any rate):
A prosecutor may charge "Open Murder", which is a combination of First and Second Degree Murder, and the jury may determine the appropriate degree based on the proofs.
