They made it a special day.
I am sorry for your loss.
It appears that many honored him and respected him.

Sorry for your loss.FE on a CAT.Very cool.
Prayers for you and your family.
Will watch the video later, but skimming through it - very interesting. Great memory and lots of great photos and video. A great tribute!
Praying for you and your family in this difficult time. Stand back and savor all the good times and memories. God bless.
At 36 minutes where your dad is talking about the PBY crashing during take-off and the associated video - it must have been the actual video where he is talking about the account! (Not just canned video from somewhere). That is great!!
As they did for my PBY Dad three years ago. He trained PBY pilots in Jacksonville, FL before the war, then proceeded to the SW Pacific in the Solomans. His VP-11 flight logbook is on the web.
Imagine Clarence Coon's PBY flying a professional photographer over another rescuing PBY which was rescuing a ditched B-24's crew in the Pacific. Shortly afterwards, then filming the crash of the rescuing PBYhaving to rescue two crews, and heavily loadedtaking off in the same rough seas that claimed the first PBY.
Open-seas rescue is a serious business. ≡≡8-O
Prayers for your Dad and his loved ones.
May the pride you feel for your hero dad, fill some of the emptiness in your heart at his passing.
God Bless his immortal soul and peace for you and your family.
All the best
May God’s comfort soothe your whole family
Prayers up. RIP.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family.
God be with you and yours.
RIP soldier...they don’t make them like that anymore. PBY’s were a real handful and they took steady hands and minds. Must have been a great man. Condolences and blessings for lovingly raising you as his own.
