1. Obama’s admin refused to allow the merger of Electrolux and Whirlpool, claiming it would hurt “competition” on home appliances in the U.S., as Samsung and LG claimed the number one and two slots in the U.S. on the most sold machines by brand.

2. All of the east Asian economies practice mercantilism when it comes to domestic economic and foreign trade practices.

Parts suppliers were forced offshore directly by the OEMs in the 90’s. See GM “China pricing”.

Also, with a dwindling domestic demand for parts and services, the domestic downstream suppliers were either forced to sell out to foreign concerns, move operations offshore, folded up and closed shop, or had their processes outright stolen and given to chinese manufacturers.

Work in the the auto industry, or in the machine tool industry, and you will learn real quick what the term “industrial espionage” really means.

The chinese will steal every bit of tech that isn't nailed down. They don't give a shit. All that matters to them is that they got it.

There's no shortage of FRee traitors that have made a profit by selling out the US to communist regimes.

This has been going on for 30+ years now. People in the US have retired now after selling US industry out to the highest foreign bidder.

Well it’s a start.

We need to restore across the board tariffs, and it should be tied to the labor force participation.

As the labor force participation rises we can start lowering the tariffs. If it falls we increase them.
