thx Rita, I thought we were laid back around here. for ex. if I wrote a your instead of a you’re in a sentence anyone with an education would get the gist of the message.
Seeing the kid’s attitude, the cops did the right thing.
“Kids shouldnt hit teachers.”
A high school classmate of mine did that to a teacher
once...once. Unfortunately for him the teacher was also an assistant football coach and former Little All America tackle. A couple of days later after he got out of the hospital and back to school we ribbed him unmercilessly over his reconfigured face. That was the end of the incident. Of course that was in the 50’s when America was still America.
Extreme would be letting this sociopath continue pummeling whomever he wanted.
Did you know if a student continues to act out in school they can qualify for "Crazy" money and parents have been known to encourage the behavior? Probably not.
A kid is a kid and a haircut is just a haircut.
I’ve taught school and have found no correlation between haircuts and academic or disciplinary performance.
Perhaps you can cite some research that states that a child’s haircut has a direct correlation on their academic or disciplinary performance.
HaHaHa.
That’s funny. I’d say that is an irrelevant comment.
The teacher could be Mr Rodgers, or a tap dancer but a kid with no restraint is going to act out & disrupt. The teacher is being made responsible for keeping her/his classroom safe while it is loaded with kids who are violent and we talk now about motivation?
If a kid has that kind of a full fledged tantrum at school a psychological evaluation is warranted on the repetition of the behavior. After all there could be a brain tumor or some physical explanation, lead poisoning, metabolic disorder. After that the child should be placed in special classes taught by burly men where things are more defined. If that toug love improves behavior they can transition back the next year. Meanwhile the teachers who want to teach & the kids that want to learn can do so.
They call that continuation school now.
I am pretty sure you shouldn't with all the knowledge you profess on the subject.
...The teacher who was attacked is planning to press charges against the child....
************************************************************
And THAT is the best part of the article. And its in the interest of this kid. What is not in the interest of the kid is for this mother to hit the lawsuit lottery as a result of her offsprings aberrant/violent behavior.
Come on the Nuns would have puled out that ruler and gone to town on this kid! He never would have hit them and had he did he would be dealing with Mother Superior and not the police, that was far worse.

Sounds like you may have ‘kissed the Cross’ and spent some time in the closet with the stinky wool coats and rubber boots ALSO.
NEVER ‘squeal’ on Sister..
ONCE, only ONCE, I went home and said ‘Sister hit me’.
NOT a single why, where or when, WHAM upalongside my head a couple of times.
Got the ‘metal edge ruler’ next day with a ‘kindly’ message I shouldn’t carry tales home from school.
Those ‘masochistic’ Nuns of the mid to late 40s and early 50s would be in jail if they acted that way today.
Probably the parent also(HA HA)
No I didn't know about your second point. Do you mean money for the parents to get help for their child because that kind of treatment is expensive?
I think you are being trolled.
I know you want to “win” but this is not a contest. I am suggesting that the choice of the haircut coupled with the violence is a marker that the child is not getting the right messages. If he was an “A” student or an engaged student, no matter what his achievement level, the haircut would be meaningless to me other than as a sign of who his role models might be.
I am more concerned that this child is getting the wrong message and his potential is being blighted. Many of my generations had a salutatory visit to the local lock up, à la scared straight. If the Mom wanted her child to succeed at school she would be an ally not an cheerleader.
You may be right. I’m such an easy mark : )
I wouldn’t criticize anyone for arresting the kid. I have family members who are school teachers, and if it was up to me I’d have the kid tossed into a wood chipper.
His parents were having problems and later divorced. So it appeared that maybe that had something to do with his prior behavior.
.
>> Surely the nuns taught the difference between your and youre. <<
How about “YER otta here!”
.
That boy needs to get use to wearing them cuffs at a young age.
I’ve got a feeling it won’t be the last time.
Back in the day, the teacher would have laid you out, then the principal would’ve whipped your ass and the real beating would start when dad got home.
Betcha their ain’t no daddy in this boys life
