Some parents are speaking out after a popular first grade teacher was fired after she posted pictures of her same-sex wedding on social media.
Jocelyn Morffi taught first grade at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School in Miami for seven years. Last weekend, she married her girlfriend and posted pictures of the ceremony to Facebook. On Thursday, Morffi was fired.
In a letter to parents, Principal Carlota Morales called it a “difficult and necessary” decision. Nearly a dozen parents who had children in Morffi’s class came to the school to protest her firing. The parents called her a “great teacher” and said they were aware that she is openly gay and that it made no difference.
“I’m upset,” parent Christina Lopez told WPLG. “The way they handled this was just unbelievable.”
“What she does at home, that’s none of our concern,” said Ricardo Oviedo, another parent of a child in Morffi’s class. “The fact is, she maintained a high moral standard at school and was inscribing in our kids a sense of community and love.” …

Assuming that homosexuality is still a sin in the Catholic church, I don’t even see why this is being questioned.
I highly doubt she was fired because of a fakebook post. There’s something deeper at play here. Just another gay mafia push. Perhaps the wonderful teacher was indoctrinating the young mush heads that gay is good and right and normal.
And these parents have not a clue.

I can go along with “sense of community” but when she decides to openly share her type of “love” to grade school kids she is saying, especially in a Catholic school, that being “gay” is “OK”, something contrary to the bibles teachings. So which is it?

Wondering what was in those pictures? Over indulging in alcohol (and having that seen on Facebook) can get a teacher fired. Just speculating...

These parents and their children should be sent packing. They belong in public school where LBGQCU deviants can teach your children that diversity is terrific and that White Christian families are terrible.
My kids went to Catholic school. It was well known that if a teacher did not abide by by Church teaching especially in public they were gone.
I detect an underlying bitchiness.
At least one of them will go marry a dude and have kids in a few years.
Why would a Catholic school hire a lesbian teacher in the first place?
A dozen is not that hard to count. Like do I by nearly a dozen eggs or nearly a dozen bagels. How near was nearly? Given the normal class size in Catholic elementary schools it may have been nearly 50% of the parents. Parents have a right to protest but if the LBGT gaystapo tries to use the power of the state to compel rehiring then any judge who sgrees to hear the case must be made to take a remedial course on the first liberty in the First Amendment.
I don’t doubt it. The future for this pair looks stormy.
