I’m certain she would but that is sentence structure, not accent. An American would not say that, even with a speech disorder. Ergo, she’s faking.

It would be interesting to see if she uses other Brit words and phrases, like "I was on my way to hire a car, and was almost run over by a lorry".

I could well be-but I’m basing my opinion on my experience as a workers comp case manager with clients who will try any insane thing to avoid returning to work-but when they were evaluated by mental health professionals, some of them actually did have Munchausen syndrome...
