A mother had three children in her vehicle while she fled from authorities Thursday morning (March 8), according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies were trying to stop her SUV after her husband reported she was missing and said he thought she was having a "psychotic breakdown."
Jefferson Parish Interim Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, at a press conference broadcast by WVUE Fox 8, said the children -- 4, 6 and 13 -- were all safe and uninjured after the series of pursuits ended around 6 a.m. He said Harahan police officers and JPSO deputies both stopped chasing her once they saw children in the vehicle.
The first pursuit started at 2 a.m. Thursday on the east bank when JPSO saw her vehicle after her husband's report and did a traffic stop. Lopinto said the woman stopped, bit one of the officers and drove off. He said deputies briefly chased her before calling off the pursuit because of the children.
A little while later, Harahan officers saw the vehicle, Lopinto said, and tried to stop her. She didn't stop, Lopinto said, and officers did not chase her because of the children.
Her 4-year-old and her 6-year-old then were found on the side of the road by a good Samaritan, who took them to a hospital, Lopinto said. The 6-year-old said the mother told the child to "throw the 4-year-old out of the car" and then get out, according to Lopinto. He said both children were both safe and "in good care" now.

The police were able to stop after a third chase. Third times a charm!

Anyway, two kids went into the Black River. Both drowned. But, and this is the interesting part, one was seen by a pre-release kid stationed on one of the bridges and the boy’s body was recovered the next day. We didn’t have another run for three months.
The other kid was seen to go into the river by adult staff only. The inmates all “knew” he had gotten away since they knew we lied to them. (We did, we told them the woods were full of snakes, bears, coyotes and mountain lions). His bones were recovered the better part of a year later. I think he was identified by his cigaret lighter. Yes, we let them smoke as hard as it is to believe today.
For a woman to have three kids in an SUV, that must have been a real long chase, or like they said above, it must have been triplets. Yeah, I think it had to be triplets.
In all fairness, my wife said the headline had to have been written by a man. Then she said, a man that should have already retired.

Triplets indeed. I see quite a few read the headline the same as I did. What’s with editors these days? That headline should have been cleaned up. I guess they just don’t care if they can’t make it read more anti-Trump.
