eBay Banning AR-15-Related Gear and Images?
The Truth About Guns ^ | 03/08/18 | Dan Zimmerman

Posted on 03/08/2018 7:30:15 PM PST by Simon Green

Chris Bushnell is the owner of Cypress Collectibles and patchaddict.com and sent us the following:

I am the owner of an embroidered patch company right here in Austin. Today I got a call from eBay saying that I cannot sell our 2nd Amendment patches that have an image of an AR-15 on them. eBay told me on the phone that they will be removing all clothing items this week from eBay that have an AR-15 or any assault rifle on them. That includes my patches, plus hats, t-shirts, and more.

If you search eBay today for “AR15” you only get about 1,400 results. Yesterday it would have literally been tens of thousands. Hats, shirts, and our Austin-based company’s patches are all banned because the snowflakes can’t handle even seeing a PICTURE of a black rifle. eBay is banning the word AR-15 and “assault rifle. They say, “This includes references in the title, item specifics, description or image”

Sure enough typing “AR15” or “AR-15” into eBay’s search bar yields just over 1400 items. Searching for “assault rifle” returns over 23,000 items including M4 airsoft guns, toy AK’s and a t-shrit with the image of an AR printed on it.

TTAG has called eBay for comment but hasn’t yet received a response. The other-ing of guns and the people who own them continues apace.

I just deleted ebay from book marks. Full of fraud anyway. I will now buy another AR15.

People of the Gun will just have to go underground. Which will have exactly the opposite effect of what the fascist Left intended.

Leftists have caused more than 100 million deaths of their own citizens.

Give up my guns...NO.

Hmmmm, maybe this will drive up the price of your AR15 collection which you can then sell and replace with an equivalent arsenal thrice the size! Or even more!!!. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I’m just shocked to learn that E-Bay is still alive.

Well, They hit $2000 on the free market. I checked. They were 1400 2 months ago. I know guys who had them a 900. The .223 ammo is cheap now. About 59 cents/ around . It will go back to a dollar. Don’t punish us for what a kook did. put guns in the hands of teacher so they cam kill the kook. Shoot him in the head after you knock him down !! instead we get to feed the bastard for life. How dumb is that?

They're making money hand over fist. Their stock has increased tenfold in the last decade.

AR15 images kill a lot of people, do they? I stopped using ebay 7 or 8 years ago. I don’t miss it.

Have never used E-Gay. Don’t need anymore defensive stuff. Got a single shot 22 and TWO boxes of cartridges.

Perhaps if we called them “African Rifles” they would not be purged from e-bay. Call them that in honor of black history month!

An opportunity for someone to replace them.

Not surprising. eBay caved and banned Confederate stuff after the Charleston church shooting in 2015. Funny how it went from having an entire section dedicated to it one day to being completely unacceptable the next.

eBay's arbitrary bans are ridiculous. They just keep banning more and more things to fit whatever the daily liberal outcry is. Maybe they can ban all NRA stuff too. Guess that'll happen next time, and this is enough... for now.

I understand the sentiment.

Just know that unlike amazon, which also sells products via amazon warehouses, ebay sells no products directly, they have no warehouses. All the ebay sellers are not any part of the ebay company itself.

They are basically cutting their own bottom line with every ban.

Maybe if sellers used the word Armalite instead of AR it would take a while for E-Bay to catch on.
