Google found the time to honor a person who could read a script and pretend they were a character. But, Google didn’t see any value honoring Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, on Easter Sunday.
LOL, all of the epic movies Sharif made, and which one do we focus on, Top Secret, LOL!
Just another “Google Doodle” for my kids to say: “Who is that?” They have already figured out, without me telling them, that Google celebrates ephemeral pop-culture icons and has no interest in things that matter — like Christianity. My oldest daughter asked me why Google did nothing for Easter. That was an interesting conversation.
There is still some humor left here.
In Doctor Zhivago, Peter Ustinov had all the good lines. The only quote I recall of Sharif is his telling his son,
“Look, Sasha! The Urals!”
The line I remember was when Zhivago was told that there was room for 13 families in his house, he responded, “Yes. This is a better arrangement, Comrades. More just.”
