Although Elijah Preccieley isn't close to being old enough to drive yet, he'll become a full-time student at Southern University in Spring 2019, WBRZ reports.
----
WBRZ reported a Southern professor first encouraged Preccieley to try to take classes at the university. Preccieley told WBRZ that his months of classes at Southern "kind of had a snowball effect" on him that put him on the path to be studying physics and engineering next spring as an undergraduate sophomore.
"I want other kids to know (that) if you serve the Lord, he rewards you because I can't do this by myself. I can't do any of this by myself. I have a team of people who are God-fearing, and without the Lord nothing can happen," Preccieley told WBRZ.

It can be done.
From another article:
The young man's father, Stephen, said Elijah had the same potential as every other child, he was simply encouraged from a young age.
"Find that child's genius... What they like and nurture that," he said. "If you have to seek outside help, then that's what you do, and that's what we did."
He’s going into a STEM field. Smart.
Good that he has focus (no pun intended) at an early age
Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope.
What?! Nobody told him that he is oppressed?
Later, comes the training on how to deal with the secular world, and all it’s doubters. Stay polite, keep cool, stay focused, and don’t prosthelytize during the school day.
With a degree from Southern, he ought to be able to get a government job.
I guess He didn't teach the kid to capitalize "He".
Dis punk, he be aktin wite. kik hiz az.
............................
Snark aside... Kudos to this young man, and his family.
I’ve known two kids that smart.
One was absolutely brilliant but had less than no common sense. He can barely tie his shoes without being reminded.
The other is a young lady who earned her bachelor’s at age 17. Had a Masters soon after. I can’t remember if she got her PhD already. She’s the same age, has a couple years of work under her belt. Last I heard, she decided on law school. She’ll make a formidable attorney.
Blame the journalist.
Why do smart people want to throw their intelligence away on law degrees. We have too many attorneys.
I hope he chooses another school for his graduate degrees.
I don[t know.
Like many millennial types, she’s gone somewhat loopy.
Their baseball team has some lazy players, but they get corrected quickly by the coaches, they will yank a player off the field in the middle of an inning if they don’t hustle.
Elijah has also published a book, applied for several patents,
and hosts a weekly radio show.
*************
I hope Elijah is well rounded and is able to keep a healthy
perspective on life and his journey thru it. He will be
constantly challenged both good and bad by many.
May God Bless his efforts and future.
Just what the world needs another attorney.
I hope for him that he manages to do something good.
The only thing is... where do you go from the top at an early age ?
Congrats to the young man... Homeschooling is the best education for kids...
