Did the rat population increase or are there more people who complain about such things moving into the city. I’d guess the latter.

I read once that NYC used to have a handful of sharpshooters on pigeon patrol. It was their full time job. Starting just before dawn, they would walk the downtown streets armed with match grade .22 rifles and pick off pigeons roosting on ledges.

They were said to have never even broken a window and were able to keep the pigeon population in check.

There's a 'Rat in the Mayor's office, City Council is composed almost entirely (48/51) of 'Rats, most of the Judges are 'Rats, most of the voters are 'Rats who send 'Rats to Congress and try to put 'Rats in the White House.

Yeah, I'd say New York City has a HUUUUGE 'Rat problem.
