Popularity: President Trump can't get a break from negative press coverage, but somehow his approval rating continues to edge upward. In fact, it's now tied with where the "extremely popular" President Obama was at this point in his first term.

The latest Gallup poll puts Trump's job approval at 45%. That's the highest it's been since he took office, and it's up from 37% at the start of the year. Although you'd barely know it from the press Trump gets, his approval number has been on a slow but relatively steady rise all year.

Not only that, but Trump's approval in this poll is now equal to Obama's at the same point in Obama's presidency. Gallup had Obama at 45% approval by late June 2010.

The difference is that while Trump's approval has been climbing, Obama's was dropping steadily over the course of his first term.

When Obama took office, he had an approval rating of 67%. By August of that year, it had fallen to 50%. A year later it was down to 43% in Gallup's poll.

By this point in Obama's presidency, his average approval was 47.9% and falling, according to Real Clear Politics. By October of 2010, it dropped down to 44%. Trump's average is currently 43.7%, and on the uptrend.

What is curious here is that President Obama had virtually every single news media device fronting his positive situation....while in this case, Trump has battled virtually every single news media operation.

President Trump and members of Congress falling in with him have been doing much to get our populace on its feet and producing again. Not much is happening economically, yet, but everyone sees that unhindered, economic activity will increase.

Mr. Trump’s political opponents in both parties are making a huge mistake in strategy for several days now. Anti-Trump sponsors of the mainstream media are even more quickly exposing themselves to the world for what they really are.

It wasn't so much fake. It was a mild, advance notice from voters of things to come, if the most coveted of constituent donors continued to stubbornly support the slide of the U.S.A. into immorality, slavery and collapse.

President Trump was the correct answer. The next correct answer is sufficient support and effective, decisive, offensive congressional action to help him finish the process of making America great again. Voters who matter aren't trusting the biggest media companies, so the big shots have a clear shot now with our support.

Impeach those who have been trying to impeach the President in order to make way for discharging them. Support the President's plan to the end of his two terms. Then show us another candidate like him for the next two terms.

0bama’s approval rating was in the high 50’s at the end of his term, so it really doesn’t matter what it was in 2010. By the end of 2016 0bama had convinced most Americans his brand of Socialism, lawlessness and amnesty and open borders was good. He would have easily won a third term if he could have run.

Only real job approval rating Obama ever got was from media hype & the dumb sheeple buying into it. He never had any real approval from people who knew & understood what was really going on. It was all falsehood & fakery with him. The man needs to be brought to justice for what damage he did to our country.

The secret to the democrat / media (but that's redundant) propaganda machine is that everything they do is to influence white suburban women, the so-called soccer moms. They gave up on white men, they throw bones at the LGBTQXYZ crowd and they pander a bit to the blacks just for show to keep them in line but the people they are actively working to influence, capture and keep are the soccer moms. They cannot win without that vote, blacks and gays and mexicans and communists won't get it done outside big cities. Now they found an old Obama policy they can call "children in cages" and they think soccer moms will get all weepy about it. They may. If so they may finally peel off the ones who like Trump.
