Being “girly” and only 60” high, I appreciate protective and chivalrous fellows, but my #1 requirement isn’t mentioned here. It’s that he should put God first. I’m content to be a close second :)
Probably the main reason I remain single. Such men are rare.
Wow, most women actually prefer men who act like men - who knew?
Chivalrous and protective is NOT sexist. It’s normal. So change it to “women find normal men more attractive.”
There is no wiring in the brain. Reference deleted.
It has been known with absolute certainty ever since the first man swung a club to kill the beast trying to hurt his mate that men protect their women! That’s the whole idea! Who carries the baby? The woman. Who is unable to defend herself while pregnant and nursing? The woman. Who is more than happy to fight to protect her, as long as he gets his sex? The man! That’s how it works. Denying it is stupid.
Should be obvious, and no “study” is needed.
Ask me what I think.
Observation. Swedish men have been p*ssified. There is no chivalry. Go open the door yourself, woman! As a result, Swedish women flock to Greece for vacation, where the men are sexist pigs. The Greek guys are happy to satisfy their lust, and give the women a good time too.
Next big discovery - water is wet!
Totally. Vive la diffèrence!
Those sexist men—paying for dates!
So we’ve raised a generation of men who believe that being unprotective and unchivalrous toward women is the correct behavior, in spite of all contrary evidence that women are attracted to protective and chivalrous men. It makes sense on some planet, I guess.
Interesting that the writer seems to think being chivalrous and protective, and treating women as “equals”, are mutually exclusive. There still are @$$holes out there who treat women as inferior beings, most notably within certain cultures and off-limits-to-criticism religions. But there is no contradiction between recognizing the fact that the TWO genders are different in many ways and treating each other with mutual respect, those differences being complementary and all.
Just how much money did you pay for this ‘study’, Laz???
A growing social problem is the subset of men who are hard-wired to offer those assurances when they can’t or just don’t want to deliver.
Hubby opened my car door for me, and some woman in the parking lot commented on how unusual that was, and how lucky I am to have him. He responded, “Do you know how long it took me to train her to sit there and wait for me?” Now, I’m so spoiled, I just walk up to doors and stare at them like they should just magically open. He’s a definite keeper!
