The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again cant believe it! Trump marveled on Twitter. Isnt it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart?
Trump commented on the story after the NFL released a statement putting the new rule requiring players to stand for the national anthem on hold while they continued to negotiate with the NFL Players Association.
Trump mocked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for failing to enact a solution and proposed his own penalties for players who refused to stand for the national anthem. The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand, he wrote. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!

I wish he would forget about the NFL.
Much bigger fish to fry.
If they hate this country so much they should leave or be kicked out to a S-hole country so they can compare and contrast as they rot.
I quit watching when the Denver Broncos took a knee. Have not watched NFL since then.
Trump continues to underestimate the ferocity of the anti-Trump forces.
I agree that it is an unexpected situation, but here we are.
Piss be upon Flake, Corker, Kasick, et.al.
No controversy is ever brought up with the intention to settle it one way or another. It’s brought up to be a perpetual scab on a running sore, to be picked at and picked at, with the hope that one day, it gets infected.
How long is the average contract? If they keep losing fans their earnings are going to go down.
I think the player salaries are going to have to tank to match the loss of fans. There may not be enough viewers to put on television.
It would be very easy to make an impact they cant ignore.
Stop buying tickets.
Cancel all sports channels that carry nfl games.
These teams are on the hook for massive salaries. If they lose a significant percentage of income, the screws tighten hard and fast.
The school Football teams are vanishing ...
My daughter was one of six cheer teams in her elementary ( and there were several different elementaries, so times that number - say like 12 teams in her grade district-wide) now at middle school, where all the elementary schools feed, down to one team.
She moved up a year to cheer, cuz they are short on girls.
Dying sport in the younger grades
The attitude and actions of the hired entertainers are costing the owners money. In modern day politically correct America, it is difficult for these owners to protect their own interests by demanding a code of behavior from black employees. The situation will only get worse.
It’s important because young people will be encouraged to hate their country. It’s dangerous because it can spread and has spread.
“I wish he would forget about the NFL.
Much bigger fish to fry.”
He’s fighting the culture war - probably the biggest and most important war of our times.
I’m very glad he’s doing. Our side has for way to long simply folded at every skirmish. Look where it’s gotten us.
This is a very serious issue with President Trump.
He talks about our flag and patriotism at all his rallies.
The NFL continues to screw with its wishy-washy policy.
Roger Goodell is a $50,000,000 a year “pussy” Commissioner.
LMAO. Tell us how you really feel, onyx.
When no one watches the entertainers, the problem will be solved. Then the left will move on to the next American iconic target, then the next and the next.
Trump needs to leave this alone, it will burn itself out when the attention goes away. Its not worth hos trouble. If it continues the market will decide.
Not to mention that non-voting eligible voters are probably still huge partakers of the current NFL garbage. I bet a lot of them don’t dig this kneeling crappola. What are the libs going to do, rally around this brain injury riddled sport because Trump thinks the players should just stand during the national anthem? Ha ha, it’s brilliant.
Forget it, NFL is gone; just dying a slow death.
