“The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again – can’t believe it!” Trump marveled on Twitter. “Isn’t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart?”
Trump commented on the story after the NFL released a statement putting the new rule requiring players to stand for the national anthem on hold while they continued to negotiate with the NFL Players Association.
Trump mocked NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for failing to enact a solution and proposed his own penalties for players who refused to stand for the national anthem. “The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand,” he wrote. “First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!”

No controversy is ever brought up with the intention to settle it one way or another. It’s brought up to be a perpetual scab on a running sore, to be picked at and picked at, with the hope that one day, it gets infected.
How long is the average contract? If they keep losing fans their earnings are going to go down.
I think the player salaries are going to have to tank to match the loss of fans. There may not be enough viewers to put on television.
It would be very easy to make an impact they cant ignore.
Stop buying tickets.
Cancel all sports channels that carry nfl games.
These teams are on the hook for massive salaries. If they lose a significant percentage of income, the screws tighten hard and fast.

My daughter was one of six cheer teams in her elementary ( and there were several different elementaries, so times that number - say like 12 teams in her grade district-wide) now at middle school, where all the elementary schools feed, down to one team.
She moved up a year to cheer, cuz they are short on girls.
Dying sport in the younger grades
The attitude and actions of the hired entertainers are costing the owners money. In modern day politically correct America, it is difficult for these owners to protect their own interests by demanding a code of behavior from black employees. The situation will only get worse.
It’s important because young people will be encouraged to hate their country. It’s dangerous because it can spread and has spread.

When no one watches the entertainers, the problem will be solved. Then the left will move on to the next American iconic target, then the next and the next.
Trump needs to leave this alone, it will burn itself out when the attention goes away. Its not worth hos trouble. If it continues the market will decide.
Not to mention that non-voting eligible voters are probably still huge partakers of the current NFL garbage. I bet a lot of them don’t dig this kneeling crappola.
