Is Android Facilitating a Felony?

I just noticed something on my Android Phone. When I press "Contacts", then the phone number under "Me" (my own phone number), I get the My Info page. In the past, I haven't given this much inspection, but this morning I happened to scroll to the bottom of the page. At the bottom, there is a siren icon with the following:

ICE - emergency contacts (0)

WHAT. THE. HELL!!!!

In my book, this is corporate malfeasance. They are encouraging their customers to commit a serious felony! Everyone, check your phones. I have duckduckgo'd and even googled "Android ICE warning" and got nuttin'! This should be broadcast far and wide.

I think Android Facilitating is a misdemeanor in North Carolina, but you’ll want to check the statute of your own state, to be sure.

Your hair is on fire for nothing. ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. You put your emergency contacts in there so if you’re found unconscious or worse the hospital can contact your NOK of whomever else you designate.

I’ve always had a contact in my list labeled ICE - Wife.

It Stands For “IN CASE of EMERGENCY”.

It allows someone to make a call to the specific ICE Contact without your password.

I am sorry. I didn't see beyond the real acronym. Yes, that was stupid of me, but with the Left in complete convolution mode, it's not too difficult to react the way I did. Next time I'll do a bit more research. Mods, do what you want with the thread. I'll make sure I chalk up this stupid response as a learning lesson for the future.
