When American astronaut Neil Armstrong, a devout Christian, visited Israel after his trip to the moon, he was taken on a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem by Israeli archaeologist Meir Ben-Dov. When they got to the Hulda Gate, which is at the top of the stairs leading to the Temple Mount, Armstrong asked Ben-Dov whether Jesus had stepped anywhere around there.
I told him, Look, Jesus was a Jew,' recalled Ben-Dov. These are the steps that lead to the Temple, so he must have walked here many times.
Armstrong then asked if these were the original steps, and Ben-Dov confirmed that they were.
So Jesus stepped right here? asked Armstrong. Thats right, answered Ben-Dov.
I have to tell you, Armstrong said to the Israeli archaeologist, I am more excited stepping on these stones than I was stepping on the moon.

God Bless, hes with Jesus now.
Sorry, but everything I read indicates that Armstrong was an atheist. His mother was a devout Christian.
Sorry, I should change that to deist.
Great Post!
If globalists get their way, Neil Armstrong's flag will go the way of Soviet nonpersons. I thank God Neil was able to see the things he saw and go the places he went without the nonsense that normal, decent people are attacked with these days.
There’s a new movie about him that’s due for release starring Ryan Gosling.
Apparently the film leaves out American flags at every opportunity. And so of course there is no mention of his religious faith either.
Buzz Aldrin took communion in space! And astronauts in missions like Apollo 8 read from the book of Genesis in space during their TV broadcasts.
These aspects of the Space program are pieces of history worth noting especially in light of the atheistic agenda of our competitors at the time, the Soviet Union.
I’m more of a John Glenn fan myself.

Even if you are not a Christian, this was history documented in the writings of Flavius Josephus about “The Teacher”
Walking around the Old City, you are constantly reminded of things that had happened there.
Mine was at the Mt of Olives when you suddenly realize Jesus stood withing 100 ft of where I was standing.
“The fool has said in his heart ‘there is no God’...” (Psalm 14:1; 53:1)
You shouldnt rely on Wikipedia for your info.
the funny thing about that atheistic soviet poster... is ... the very existence and remarkable ability of the cosmonaut to fly in space, as the poster so properly depicts...these things are such amazing, tremendous MIRACLES as to all but PROVE the existence of the good Lord
certainly the Supreme Soviet atheists themselves couldn’t actually explain these miracles in any other way
I’m sorry.
I am a Christian. I went in 1984 on a wonderful ten day trip to Israel. Yigael Yadin led it for four days (he died a few months later).
Jesus was crucified before Flavius Josephus was born. Besides, he was the Emperor Vespasian's "House Jew," little more than a court jester with a Magen David. He was one of the few Zealots who weaseled out of committing suicide at Masada and for that he remains reviled by many Jews today. Probably the only thing that kept him alive then was that he was under the emperor's protection so he wrote whatever would he thought would keep him from being turned out.
Josephus was born in Jerusalem in 37 AD. He grew up surrounded by people who had personally heard Jesus speak. It's not something he would be making up fiction about.
The fool has said in his heart there is no God... (Psalm 14:1; 53:1)
God will answer the fool
“And then will I declare to them, I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”
Matthew 7:23
Why would an atheist get excited to walk on the same rocks as Christ? Find me an atheist that would get excited over that.
