This happened to a friend of mine in Oklahoma City. A pizza chain offered an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet featuring their pizza and fried chicken. Me and Jim, a rail-thin AF sergeant who whitened his food with a thick layer of salt, would stop by a few times a week. Jim packed away the chicken in vast quantities. Once the management checked his briefcase on the way out to see if he was smuggling food. They finally asked us to quit coming.
I love any reference to the Tubes.
