I love that song. However, you haven’t heard it until you’ve REALLY heard the Cold Blood version with Lydia Pence. Yikes:

And yes, I own the vinyl. Bought it brand new in the 70’s.

“Lonesome Dave” Peverett was quite the front man.

Loved it.

Side note: make sure that you get consent in writing otherwise you might be accused of sexual assault.

Hahahaha I got Lonesome Dave’s and the rest of Foghat’s autographs when they came to a record store in the 70’s. I also saw them when they were the opening act for Edgar Winter.

My first rock concert in 1971. I’m in the balcony and I see this long haired, skinny, big nosed lead singer/guitarist just wailing. A great live band.

I wonder if Bill Clinton plays this music in Pedophile Island?

Or maybe ‘Tainted Love’. Hard to say.

I’m from the 70’s. I wish it was always the 70’s.

Well, except for Carter and the horrible disco stuff at the end. but otherwise, best music ever and the country was a better place to be.

It was also my first concert but I don’t remember what year. Definitely could have been ‘71.

The 70’s were the very best for music, imho. I didn’t even mind disco.

Is Bon Scott was the lead singer of Foghat, and Lonesome Dave was the lead singer of ACDC, you would not be able to tell these two bands apart. Both play great Blues oriented straight-up rock and roll. This track is from their debut album, one of their best. Also love rock and roll Outlaws and night shift.

Well, except for Carter and the horrible disco stuff at the end. but otherwise, best music ever and the country was a better place to be.

The "disco stuff" started in the middle, in 1974 with Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra, MFSB's TSOP, and The Hughes Corporation Don't Rock the Boat.

It started to end with Dire Strait's Sultans of Swing in 1979, but carried on quite a while after that.

But in general I agree with you, the 1970s had a lot of good music, and a fair amount of second-rate stuff, some of which seems to have gotten better with age.
