My wife was in grad school a few years back and a classmate of her’s had a brother who was a doctor. She was in a business ethics related class and this classmate told her he and the class that his brother the doctor had graduated and was doing his residency and got hired by a fairly well respected medical group. This guy said his brother worked a few months and as you know they have to do paperwork and coding for Medicare/Medicaid in their charts and he got to noticing inconsistencies in the coding for charges and out right billing for services not rendered.
Being a conscientious guy he made some copies and went to the FBI. BIG MISTAKE! He explained he was new to this group and had found some things that he thought were highly unethical and probably illegal. His intention was to give this to the FBI and let them investigate. Wrong! The FBI instead of being grateful for the help of a law abiding citizen instantly demanded he turn into a wired snitch for them or they would prosecute him as well even though he had done nothing wrong. No good deed goes unpunished strikes again. So instantly jail time or become the FBI’s bitch all because he thought he was doing the right thing.
The FBI had him wired, had him copy billing information and tried to get him to implicate doctors in the group and employees who were not defrauding the government and at that point he finally told the FBI FU! I tried to do the right thing and you lied to me, screwed me over, threatened me for doing the right thing, you tried to get me to lie and implicate innocent people.
Further he told the FBI I have an had an attorney and now you remember I have all this documented and the actions you demanded I do, those I did and refused to do. So if you want to go after me bring it, I am done being a bitch for an organization that is just as bad as the crooked doctors I was working for, FOFF! And he quite the group and refused any contact with the FBI except through his attorney. They left him alone but he doesn’t trust law enforcement at any level according to his brother.
The FBI adds a bit of additional dung to its already-inches-thick coat.
And AG Keebler Elf will have those FBI agents indicted any day now.
This is big, really big. James Comey, who was supposed to be a non-partisan FBI employee put spies within the Republican candidate’s officials to try to catch them at something. It shows you who James Comey is.
He should have reported the fraud to Medicare instead of the FBI. They are thugs too but I doubt they would make him wear a wire.
