"Europe... had that for a while and it worked."

Who told you it worked?

A Sorry History of Self-Deception and Wasted Opportunities

Turkish immigrants have been coming to Germany since the 1960s, but for many years Germans assumed the "guest workers" would return home one day.

As kaktuskid posted you, the "bracero" program was the US's version of a guest workers program during WWII and a few years after. It too was a disaster.

More than a million failed to go and President Eisenhower launch "Operation Wetback" to round up and deport them - with military assistance.

aliens do work that US citizens/residents are not willing to do.

I'm not inclined to agree with your premise. Americans are not willing to do the work at the pay the aliens will. There is not a trade in our country that hasn't been damaged by illegal un-taxed labor. You can get auto body repairs, construction, electrical work, mechanic repairs, house painting ....all done at half price by illegals. That is taking a toll on our citizens lives and on our tax base. It has to end.

The only reason businesses clamor for foreign workers, is because they can get away with paying those workers far less than American citizens.

There isn’t any work ‘Americans won’t do’, if the wages are fair.

The presence of illegal aliens in the workforce has completely distorted the labor market, and has resulted in American citizens being run out of many industries, almost completely.

My brother had a couple of friends who were braceros back in the 50’s. They were the nicest two guys and came by the house often and were welcomed by our friends and family. They just worked seasonally and then went home. After a few years they never returned so maybe that program ended.

You left out gardeners. Almost all gardeners are Hispanic here in California, and few speak English really well. Usually there is a boss, who speaks English, and a few others who do the actual work who don’t speak English. And they work long hours and go from yard to yard in my subdivision.

Sounds like a great "Plan of Action" to me.

We need to REQUIRE that students AND VOTERS UNDERSTAND the Constitution.
They must actually READ THE CONSTITUTION !

Rush make the details of this discussion VERY CLEAR today.

The leadership for open borders advocates don’t want legal immigrants. They like abusing and underpaying illegals. It’s about maintaining a low-wage labor force.
