Report: Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka hospitalized

CHICAGO (AP) — Hall of Fame tight end and former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka is recovering from a mild heart attack.

Steve Mandell, Ditka's agent, tells ESPN that doctors inserted a pacemaker. He says Ditka "is doing much better," and the iconic coach "appreciates the outpouring of support and expects to be home soon."

The Bears wished Ditka "a speedy recovery" on Twitter.

They had a great offensive line and the best running back of all time. The rest of their offense was good enough to win games.

The 1984 49ers may have been the best team of the 1980s. Dominant offensive team (and Jerry Rice hadn't even been drafted yet!) and a very underrated defense. I think they are still the only NFL team in history to send all four of their starting defensive backs to the Pro Bowl.

The GOP tried. Ditka considered running but declined. IMHO he knew that the Dems would attack him for real and imagined events in his or his loved ones background. Dems are evil bullies and will stop at nothing to ruin anyone that they consider a threat to their power.
