Who else has had a Heisman-worthy season? Grier from West Virginia?
As a dawg fan, Tua drove a stake in my heart last season. He is indeed the real deal, as I found out first hand after responding to his being brought into the title game by thinking game over.
Indeed it was.
Good luck to all the bama fans.
Give my love to your doggies blam.
The greatest QB who has played at ‘Bama topping Snake Stabler, Broadway Joe and Bart Starr. Just to show how the game has changed Tua throws for more yards and TDs in two games than Namath threw an entire season at ‘Bama.
I’m primarily an Auburn fan, but I am a semi-heretic that likes Alabama, too. I have said it before on FR. He is the best I’ve ever seen, maybe the best ever. If he keeps his head on straight and stays healthy, he will re-write the record books.
All Samoan guys love American football and rugby. They are big in that Australian and NZ rugby scenes.
“The Throwin’ Samoan”
In the late 50's my older brother played against Stabler at Foley HS. He passed us crazy, score 56-O.
Not so fast my friend...there is a Freshman at Clemson that begs to differ...time will tell if they meet on a near January night...and if they don’t it, I cannot wait to see him win a Heisman in the near future.
He attended the same HS as my DIL’s father——I wish he was around to see this.
.
I agree, he may be the best ever. He’s one of those rare QB’s that when he lets go of the ball, it just looks beautiful. And just by watching the arc of the ball, you feel a sense of confidence that it’s going to be perfectly placed and caught. Two other QB’s that gave off the same vibe were Joe Montana and Steve Young.
Have seen him play. He’s good, but Tua is better in my opinion. Your guy is a better athlete . . . bigger and stronger (don’t know about faster . . . Tua has very good wheels) . . . but he just does not possess the magic for making a play that Tua does.
Maybe we will get to see them head to head in the playoffs and they can settle it on the field.
I could not tell it was bothering him against Auburn, unlike a couple of weeks before. He made a couple of very slippery runs, one for a touchdown, where he showed good speed. I don’t think it is as serious as a ligament tear. I don’t think he would be making some of those plays if it was.
He says his knee is fine and has been for a while. The coaches were making him wear the brace and the brace was the only problem. He finally convinced them to let him play without the brace. You saw the results in the Auburn game.
I understand Alabama is courting his younger brother who is supposedly as talented a quarterback.
Tua Tagovailoas Brother, Taulia, Will Play For Alabama
Theres more good news for fans of Tua Tagovailoa as his brother, Taulia Tagovailoa, has committed to Alabama for 2019. Rivals rated Taulia as a four-star recruit, and the No. 6 ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country. Taulia is also the No. 6 ranked quarterback in the class of 2019 by 247 Sports. Taulia chose to join his brother at Alabama over a number of other top programs including LSU, Florida, Oregon and Michigan.
He pronounces his name like 'two-leah'.
As a Gator and college football fan, I can’t even get away from Alabama talk on FRee Republic!? Dang!
