Flacco cashed in when he had that Super Bowl run. Maybe the Jaguars could use him.

Sounds like a “Dak Prescott”-like situation.

Will Joe Flacco soon be a New York Giant?

Giants are going to be real good next year. I sure wouldn't want to play them right now.

They beat my Bears. Could sneak into playoffs. Will be tough if they do. All this after a horrendous start...

I have not watched any Ravens games this year.

We all know Lamar Jackson can run, how has he been passing when he stays in the pocket?

Is he a run first, pass second QB?

I guess Joe Flacco’s time in Baltimore is over. They are not going to pay him the small fortune he would be due to be the backup. Washington would probably pounce on him right now. He won a Super Bowl with one of the greatest postseason runs by a QB and I respect him for that. The Ravens never really had a Number 1 legitimate deep threat - e.g. Antonio Brown, D’Andre Hopkins, Calvin Johnson - in all his years with the team so I think he did the best with what was available. Of course he may still get some playing time if Jackson gets hurt.

Why would the Giants want another aging QB? Seems to me Flacco for Eli is six of one, a half dozen of another. The G-Men will either get someone younger via free agency or pick a QB in the draft.

Redskins or Jags seem more likely as landings for Flacco. Or even ... Denver?

On the plus side, he is as fast as lightning, and as slippery as an eel. He's only had four starts so he's still very much a work in progress. I think he's looking to run first but he has had some success passing. The thing is, the possibility of his running just gives the offense that one more option.

Yes. Also Tampa if Jameis can’t get it together.
We call him Flaccoverde.

IMHO Flacco is an excellent pocket passer, still has mobility and with Beckham, Shepherd and Barclay would lead a very credible, effective offense for the next two or three years. There is not a premiere college QB in this years draft. It would give the Giants the time to draft a credible heir apparent in 2020,2021 or 2022. Eli has looked decent recently but would not be enthused about him being the starter in 2019.Bottom line is that the Giants would be credible contenders with Flacco at QB.

There don't seem to be any great QB prospects out there in next year's draft. Word on the street here is that the Giants will draft a QB in the second or third round next year and ask Manning to take a big pay cut to be a "transitional" starter for up to 16 games. This is sort of what happened at the start of his career. The Giants signed Kurt Warner to start the first 8 games of Manning's rookie year, then handed the reins over to Manning as the starter.

The Giants might be very interested in Flacco to fill this "bridge" role if Manning refuses to renegotiate his contract with a big pay cut.

Eli has not had an overall good year. He has always been a bit slow and this year his immobility really showed. Many of the sacks would have been avoided by a more mobile QB. Next year he won’t be any quicker or faster. Giants will not prosper with Eli at QB and at best will be a 500 team far behind Dallas. They need a guy like Flacco or Carr as a three year transition until they draft their future franchise QB. Problem is there is no college QB on the horizon that fits the need.

Flacco got paid a ton after winning the super bowl and crashded the teams salary cap. Because of his “dead money”, money that would still count against the salary cap even after he was off the team, he was untradeable. But they can cut him next spring and the dead money is finally down to something like $9M spread over two years. They’re going to do that. The Giants might like him, Eli is toast and they have very good receivers. He lives in southern NJ so he’d probably like a chance to stay in the midlantic region.
