SORRY to hear about your folks old-age/health issues.

My mother finally passed away in 2013 at age 99 & 5 months. = The last 3 years of her Earthly life were HARD on all of us, as she was housebound for most of that time & became evermore confused about reality for the last about 18 months..

I rejoice that Mother is now with my dad & her sisters IN GLORY.

Yours, TMN78247

When asked why they were fighting if they disapproved of slavery themselves, a Southerner answered, “Because you guys were here!”

This line may be well known but it still strikes me as both corrective and classic.

I appreciate that thought.

The tough part here is that there’s no “all of us”, just my wife and I, and Mom and Dad were divorced years ago. That makes for double the trouble (so to speak) in many ways, and makes the finances MUCH worse. Dad = terminal dementia & hopelessy fouled up, complex affairs and tax problems, and Mom’s now really going into that confused reality you speak of (but her memory is still fairly good.)

We’ll muddle through somehow.

Take care. And, thanks again.

Paul,

I will have my Darla pray for them/you. = I’m convinced that her prayers are answered.
(I on the other hand, like King David, have far too much blood on my hands to expect any good answers to mine.)

Yours, TMN78247
