This happened to someone I know. They made the mistake of giving money to their deadbeat son. When they finally stopped giving it to him, he denounced them and threatened to kill them for the inheritance. His sister overheard this and called the cops. He went to jail. His phone call was to his parents where he begged them to get him out and then threatened to kill them if they didn’t. During the call, the parents heard a policeman say “You know we can hear this, right?”.
He had to dry out in the tank. It stated pretty ugly for a few months before he came to his senses.
