Equivalent of an old b&w battery TV today would be an HD tablet with a little ATSC OTA USB receiver plugged into it. Not just a single purpose device either, although more expensive adjusted for inflation.

Hmm..thanks! Curious, I googled “Panasonic battery powered TV” and a whole bunch of items—various brands, not just Panasonic— popped up for sale.
Some require addition of modern gizmos to make them workable; others don’t specify, they’re just marked “vintage” or “collectibles.”
It didnt occur to me to research before posting. Thanks, Mears! Maybe now I’ll buy another one! :)
