One more thing...there is a parenting issue here. Screen time is addictive, and has similar effects on the brain as drug use. Parents who give their children devices at an early age are asking for this, sorry to say.

Anybody still think it’s a good idea to take away video games? For some people that’s their only escape.

Sadly this happens more then is reported. I work in a community hospital in southern NJ. There a psyche unit in the place( I call it “The Happy Hatch’’). Few months ago they brought in a ten year old kid who threatened to kill his mother for the same reason. Of course mom bought him the damn video player. She was arguing like hell with the doctors to have him released so she could take him home.
I’m thinking a spanking won’t help.
Among the games the father took away from him was

I’d bet money the kid is addicted to Fortnite. This game is like crack to 11-year old boys.

Only the police should have guns, because they receive special training on how to use and secure their weapons. No ordinary citizen can do this.

Well, the boy does have mitigating circumstances. Specifically, why was the father STUPID ENOUGH to buy an 11 year old video games in the first place? He might as well give him an I-Phone while he’s at it.
I’m surprised the Dems didn’t want to lower the voting age to 11, but maybe they know they’ll be playing video games. I have a game system, but it doesn’t control us. Moron parents didn’t control their 11 year old with his game system.
