I think it’s presumptuous for you to assume that anyone in Alabama was “fooled” in 2017. It’s probably more likely that they knew exactly what he was all about ... and more than 600,000 of them who voted for Donald Trump in 2016 couldn’t be motivated to even walk across the street to vote for the guy.

Well, then I am being presumptuous. I don't live in Alabama so you could be right. But I doubt it. Roy Moore won the primary quite handily ... 26,000 votes more than Luther Strange and 81,000 votes more than Mo Brooks (whom I also liked). And that was despite the GOP-E putting weight behind Strange. Roy Moore *was* the candidate Alabamians chose. But all that changed in the final election as he was Kavanaugh'd successfully. I'd say good folks from Alabama were fooled by the Kavanaugh'ing. And I hope, if Roy Moore wins the primary again, they will not be fooled a second time.
