Typical two-faced liberalism.
On one hand, garner votes from those on the dole by letting them purchase whatever they want.
Then, on the other hand pretend to care for them (pretending obviously only to fellow naive libs) by doing things to limit fast food availability.

Come CW-II, we need a new type of guillotine - one with a giant granite block both above and below - to give libs/progs their just and well deserved end.

Hey- Big Fast Food had to pay out good money to get this bill put up for vote. Quit trying to clean up politics.

Most grocery stores sell cooked chickens and have a full deli. I can buy a salad at Target that’s a three-course meal. It’s already there.

Some conservatives are hypocrites too in denying poor people moral agency and personal responsibility that every one else has.

I’ve never lived in the lap of luxury or desired to and I’ve always lived within my means.

The notion Im trying to rip off the taxpayers through my personal choices is as insulting as its untrue.

I do get it a minority of people abuse the rules but that doesn’t mean every one does.

We’re exactly like rich people and yeah some of them cheat to gain an undeserved advantage.

No matter what station in life we are the rules ought to be the same for everyone. Period.

>>>hmmm- gov liberals scream about guns being unsafe, yet they are now gonna subsidize people eating slow death foods?

poor diets kill millions per year worldwide-<<<

Now that opiods are being controlled to where they are harder to get, the government simply has come up with a new plan to kill off the older population.

The globalist agenda calls for world population to be cut by at least 5-6 billion.

Multiple wars, abortion, and disease don’t seem to be getting the job done fast enough to suit the elites, so this is the next step.

[[The notion Im trying to rip off the taxpayers through my personal choices is as insulting as its untrue.]]

Where in the world did i ever even come close to suggesting you or anyone else was trying to do that? Again- my whole point was only that democrats are hypocrites- screaming about ‘not one more life’ when it comes to gun laws- while simultaneously approving money for folks to buy foods that are known to cause death eventually- They are hypocrites, pretending to care about one group of people, while apparently not giving a crap about another group of people- the exhibit blatant selective outrage- they aren’t consistent, they are hypocrites-

People can eat whatever they like- i don’;t care- my post is not about restricting what people can eat- ever- my post was wholly about pointing out the despicable double standard of the hypocritical left-

What's next- sin taxes (for everyone) to combat obesity, smoking, yadda, yadda, yadda.

And an increase in those 'SNAP' benefits because the allotted amounts no longer last the month for families.

Most supermarkets have prepared food. But a pound of ham or turkey and a loaf of bread will serve you a lot better.

“If you can pay for it, you can eat whatever you want. If I’m paying for it, I get a say. “

Needs repeating. Let’s take that a step further: if we wind up with socialized medicine, i’m not payin’ for 400+ pound 25 year old people with type 2 diabetes and heart problems. Lose it, or lose it.

Bush’s free thousands after Katrina went to booze and smokes.

Restaurants here have accepted EBT cards for years. SNAP was bound to be next. That’s reason #47 why I don’t eat out. Why should I have to scrimp to stay on a tight grocery budget only to pay taxes so they can go out to eat?

Posted yesterday that I made burgers for 75 cents at home v. $6 Burger King burgers. Quarter lb. beef 50 cents, big day old sale bakery bun 8 cents, cheese 12 cents and veggies/mustard 5 cents. I’ve posted many times of making 4-5 Schlotsky’s sandwiches for the price of one at the drive-thru. Eating in a restaurant is even more expensive. We limit $5/day for food for each of us and that’s eating meat and veggies, not beans and rice or pasta . Cooking at home is always cheaper than going out so why is the government frittering away our tax dollars for the higher priced option?

A couple of fast food $6-7 1/4 lb burgers are about the same price as a lobster or steak.

“What’s next?
Lottery tickets?”

A liberal could justify that. “How dare you complain about/try to stop people from dreaming and having a chance to get ahead?”

Welfare money going to lottery tickets would be a liberal’s financial version of a perpetual motion machine.

Don’t you understand that these people are too busy to cook, working three jobs? </s>

This is a SUBSIDY for fast food restaurants to meet payroll when the Illinois MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE goes into effect.

Disappointed TOM DEMMER fell for this.

No, NO, No. This actually is the smartest thing to do. The reality is these people do not often have kitchens. They don’t cook. They often live in cars or trailers. We think they have the same life as us, just without money. Not true at all. If you rent a room in a group house you cannot leave food in a refrigerator.

And something people don’t always consider, McDonald’s is about the same cost as a cooked meal at your house. I know people who live on the street. After soup kitchens, fast food is the best place to eat. Its cheap, and is likely more nutritious than what these people are likely to choose from a grocery store.

When someone is at the level of food stamps, fast food is more likely the best they will get.

You can use your snap benifits for a $4.99 Burger, fries and 16oz pop but not for a .99 48oz pop because that would be bad for society.

AMEN IN SPADES

Come to the free food center once a week and get a sack of rice, beans, cheese, meat, milk & vegetables with a loaf of bread. It's free, shut up and cook it.

McDonald’s headquarters is in Schaumburg. Bet they put pressure on Pritzker, unless it was already planned.

Did you know about the Illinois PLASTIC BAG tax to curb “global warming”?

*7c for every plastic bag we use in stores (IL gets 5c, stores 2c)
