Amazing.
My initial reaction was that it must be a hoax, but upon reading the article, it appears that it is real.
Also picture at the link.

You could teach your dogs to just play with the squirrels without harming them.
That could be fun to watch. Better than TV.

Kind of disappointed actually. For some reason, I was sort of expecting them to be rainbow colored or something.

I used to feed squirrels, while in college here in the US. They liked walnuts.
I even have pictures of them sitting in my lap and on my shoulder happily eating the walnuts, but I am not going to post them here.

Is that coloration real?
I was talking to one of my boys, who was in California on business last week. He had seen a small dog that appeared to have been tie-dyed.
The colors on the squirrel in the picture are so garish, I couldn’t help but wonder if they were real.

In the summer of 1968 we were in drydock in Long Beach. One of my shipmates was taking a bit too much LSD and went to a pet shop and bought an adult iguana. He would walk it around with a leash and one night he painted it with the psychedelic poster paint that would glow when you turned on the black light.

My mini bull terrier goes through the dog door like a shot when there's a squirrel on the deck. Fortunately, his head is as hard and heavy as a bowling ball.
He's fearless, too. A squirrel that big might be a bit offputting, but he's probably up for it.
