some females of a certain mindset are in a habit of starting fights they know they won’t need to finish, or won’t ever be called to justice on, and then asking someone to call the cops.
warning: if it is a guy they pick a fight with, they do this because they know when the cops arrive, the cops often assume the guy started the fight (maybe they are not told any details by the dispatcher). the cops don’t want to handle politically incorrect situations, so they will presume the guy started the fight, separate the people, interrogate them separately, and let the female go even if she attacked the guy. if the guy complains, the police can aggressively interrogate the guy and pretend not to believe his story. voila, a politically incorrect outcome turns into a politically correct outcome, any guys attacked by wierdo women barely escape getting jail time themselves even though innocent and/or non-violent, and no police ever have to face any controversy.
this lady chose the wrong victim, a woman. i doubt any female gets charged if she attacks a guy and then calls the cops, unless she leaves obvious evidence of bodily harm on the guy and even then she claim and the police would probably be institutionally inclined to believe a spurious claim that she acted in self defense after the guy attacked her (but leaving no visible bodily harm).
i’ve been told by a post office employee that one can’t photograph people there without their prior consent. i just looked it up online now and found the following:

so in a sense the lady might have been half correct.; however, if she attacked paloma then i would imagine a video would be a non violent method of preventing attack and self defense would override the USPS guideline (IANAL). In any case, perhaps better in at least some ways than pulling a weapon on the crackpot to prevent further attacks.
