It is what boys do. (and as you state, girls do too) Every boy I ever knew did it, because we are wired that way. You don’t have to cat-call. You don’t have to embarass them. It doesn’t mean you don’t respect them

This story takes me back.
When I was in high-school I had a neighbor who was my age who attended the local Catholic high-school. (I went to public high-school as my parents could not swing the tuition) That school required students to wear uniforms. And his mother was employed as a secretary in the school’s office.
At the start of the year they brought all of the girls in and measured them for their new uniforms. My neighbor, upon pretext of going to the office to speak with his mom, managed to pilfer the list. He literally had the measurements of every girl who attended this school.
He made hundreds of copies, and it became the neighborhood’s most highly circulated underground publication amongst us teen boys.
Today he’d probably go down with a felony.

Girls are more interested in financial statements. All you need to do is have access or know someone with access to a credit service and you get an idea where a man is financially.
