I also don’t use cell phones or any kind of ‘aps’. I have a flip-phone that I keep for emergences, but I don’t use it much. I get 60 min every 90 days because that is the min you can buy. I have over 1,400 minuets stored.
I don’t use the car radio or have a car that uses GPS.
Apple’s privacy policy (actual, not just empty words) is SO much better than Google’s. In fact, while Apple as a corporation seems pretty liberal in a lot of areas - their views on privacy are as Libertarian as they come.

With an iPhone, are you required to have, or set up, an email account as you are with android / Google? I hate having to be connected to anything, especially Google, to use my device.
You do have to have an iCloud account to fully activate - but you don’t have to use it beyond having an “ID”.
Thanks for the info. Guess I don’t want an icloud account any more than a Google account.
